Update #23

Just got this text from Jen:

The therapy dog tried to jump up on the bed and chase laughed. Then we all lost it crying and he pulled his blanket over his head.

  4. Bryson loved those therapy dogs, they made him smile. Bryson also loved to be read to while he was in pain. It took his mind of it and I think our voices soothed him. He loved magic tree house at that time and I think we read 15 or so books in a week. I started keeping track in my journal what we read to him. Fasted for chase today. Keep fighting chase. May the spirit be with you jen.

  6. Jen and Justin,
Daniel and I fasted for Chase today as many others did. I felt the Spirit strong today of the Lords love for Chase as well as your whole family. It appears as I read the updates several times daily (thank you Jess) that prayers are answered! Who knew that a little boy would be so instrumental in building the faith of so many <3
    Get well soon Chase!
    Love, Annie Bray

  7. These last few updates have been really inspiring to read. You can see the hand of our Heavenly Father in all of this, how merciful and loving He is of his children. Jen and Justin, we are so grateful for the opportunity we had to participate in our own prayer of fasting in Chase's behalf. May you continue to see miracles through Chase's everyday progressions and through your faith in our Savior.

  10. So happy I got a hold of you yesterday. I can't stop thinking and praying for you and your sweet boy. Montana was shocked hearing the news, she loves your kids! I want to come visit you on Wednesday, if it's okay - let me know by text or something. Our prayers will continue as long as they are needed - for all of you! God Bless you!! Love Carla Law

  11. When you are home and Chase needs a bit of a pick me up, Crystal has a golden retriever that is being trained as her helper. We can bring him over to visit Chase too. I am so grateful that Chase is doing so very well. These miracles change our lives and confirm to us and the many others who witness a true and strong testimony that our Father in Heaven knows each of us and through His care all things are possible. Sometimes our loved ones are completely healed and sometimes only partially and, of course, part of the time our loved ones are called home. The priesthood power and strength we receive through the Spirit is such a blessing. I am grateful for the Gospel of Christ and that we have ministering angles on BOTH sides of the veil to help. We will keep love and prayers coming for all of you.

  12. Jen, I'm go glad to hear that the Chase we all know and love is starting to peek out more and more! I had so much fun when I worked with Chase in Cub Scouts. I have been anxiously reading the posts since Thursday, when I first learned of his accident. (Thank you, thank you Jess, for doing this.) Yesterday my daughter and I fasted with the YW, their leaders, and the rest of the Midway 2nd Ward. Seriously, what a blessing for all of us to have the opportunity to do that. The YW are very concerned about Chase and I know were feeling a spirit of love and caring for Chase during our fast. Our prayers continue to be with you and your family. What an example and an inspiration you guys are as you share your positive attitudes, your faith, and your thankfulness to our Heavenly Father as you work through this extremely difficult time. May the Lord continue to bless and comfort you.
    Much love,
Marcia Kraatz and the YW organization of the Midway 2nd Ward.

    To Chase,
We love you Chase and are SO thrilled to hear your improving a little bit each day. Go buddy! :)
