Thank you to those who are willing to fast for my precious son on Sunday. Basically, all it is is you say a prayer at the beginning letting God know the intent of your fast - so for chase to continue to improve and wake up (when his brain is ready). Then you skip 2 meals and eat dinner. Before you eat, you say a prayer to close your fast letting God know the intent of your hearts again. Then you eat. Usually you don't drink water or liquids during your fast, but please be comfortable. Thank you SO much for being willing to fast Sunday for my precious angel.
I have a testimony of fasting and know the power that it can bring. I have faith that miracles occur.
Thank you again for all the prayers and comforting words. I miss my son and there are some quiet moments where my heart aches and I just cry and cry ... but then I pray - pick myself up and get back at it for him, my girlies & m husband. I am so blessed that he is still fighting.
He is much more wakeful and is responding to sound more. The nurse had me stop telling the story of his accident because she said that we had talked about it 2 times before that and all three times, he began to become very agitated. He squeezes my hand so much sometimes it brings tears to my eyes (he's so strong).
Isaiah 40:31 - But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Slow and steady,
Jen
Hugs to you Jen. You have to go through what all of us are scared to ever have to go through as a parent. Wish there were words to explain how badly we all want to ease your pain. Made me cry when you said you miss your son. I don't know for sure, but my heart says that he knows you're right there with him. May God give you strength.
