Message from Jen

Friends and family,

Words cannot express the gratitude I have in my heart for your prayers and well wishes. I feel them; they are carrying me. My son is a fighter. He is showing positive signs and as him momma, I know he knows we are all there. He truly is remarkable and astounds me with his strength. I have never felt more proud of him as I do now.

Thank you for all your posts, including Facebook posts and emails. My heart is tender but I feel your prayers and am being carried. There are angels round about and I'm so grateful for my earthly angels that are all praying for my precious son. Thank you all. All who know him, can't help but love him.

Thank you for your continued prayers - as he continues his journey he will need added strength to heal. He amazes me every hour and he is attempting to communicate.

Just tonight, he reached his left hand toward his diaper (which he hates) and cupped it under his leg and scrunched up and pulled on his leg and the diaper. The nurse went over to see what he was up to and sure enough his catheter had leaked all over and there was a large wet spot.

Thank you so much for your thoughts and prayers and well wishes. We are so grateful for you all. And thank you to those who have sent gifts through the hospital and otherwise. We have named all the stuffed animals and they are all around him snuggled up to him. His room is covered in balloons. He is so loved and I am grateful.

Thank you thank you thank you for your continual prayers. I couldn't do this without them. He couldn't do this without them. We as a family couldn't do this without them. Thank you for continuing to bless our lives. We feel it and appreciate it. More updates in the morning. Slow and steady progress... Happy momma.

Love you all

Jen

  1. Dear Jen,
It's wonderful to hear from you, and know that you are staying positive and strong. Chase knows his Momma is there for him! I'm sure all of us (friends and family) would like you to feel that we are here for you. We're praying for you, for Chase, for your family, and for your hearts and minds to be strong enough to take this on, and overcome. The positive improvements in Chase that you post about are encouraging. Sounds like Chase is a fighter (wonder where he got that from? :) and he is responding to you more and more with each passing hour. He is so very lucky to have such a great mom, a great dad, and a great family. Please remember to take care of yourself too, Jen. Please know that if you need anything, all you have to do is ask. We're all (your family, your friends, and even people who don't even know you have all posted!) here, ready to help you any way we can. Stay strong my friend.

  2. Jen thank you for taking the time to update us. You are an amazing woman of strength and have always inspired me!!! I shared Chase's story with my FB family and there are even more prayers coming his way. I know that you, Chase and your family will be lifted up by the power of prayer and the priesthood. Hang in there and stay strong there are many out there waiting to help you and in your family in anyway that you need. I love you and miss you and can't wait to see ALL of your family running and playing together the next time I'm in Utah! Hugs and kisses.... Sheila
