Update #42

My mom was chase's valentine yesterday (outside of the beautiful flowers my dad had delivered to my mom at the hospital). My mom got us Omaha Steaks and my hubby, sisters and brother-in-laws had a yummy and nice dinner at our home. We missed my mom and chase, but it was way special. Thanks Mom & Dad!

My mom has been at the hospital 24/7 with Chase since Sunday. I was going to go up today - but brooke was coughing her head off, so I stayed home. So nice to have my mom to help carry the load. My mom has been going to therapies with chase and the doctors adjusted his meds - and he was groggy for the first few days but his therapists continue to see improvement with him.

I just love my family; this is the hardest thing I have ever done in my life. We had a crazy November and December and we moved back into our home Jan 3rd then left for our anniversary the next day - where we spent ten magical days together, as well as having a great day with my aunt Clorinda, Uncle Olaf and Uncle David and Aunt Faye - thank you all so much.

We flew home the 15th and hit the tarmac getting a call from Justin's sister, Jill. As most of you know, Jill informed us that chase was at the park and fell from a 15 foot slide. This has been a roller coaster, but I can't say enough how absolutely grateful we are for our son's life and our 2nd chance to be a family.

Please pray that chase begins to speak soon - and that he begins to walk and coordinate his precious body.

Thank you so much for all your continue love & support - and for your prayers for Chase. He is an amazing child, and I miss him while I am home - but it's wonderful to be with my girls as well. They haven't seen me for almost 2 months.

Chase continues to do great in his rehab, making slow and steady progress everyday. I am so very, very proud of him.

Also, we will be on the News again tonight - the 10PM news for a live spot of us. Look for it - channel 5 again I believe. It's for primary children's, and they asked to spotlight us. We are so proud of chase and appreciate so much and the love and support.
