Update #35

Great 1st day on Rehab.

He hit his feeds today on his own & should have his feeding tube out Friday!! Prayers!!!

Chase's casts are itching him like crazy but they come off Monday for his braces that will help him walk. What a blessing!! He is re-learning everything, but every day is something new. I still can't believe the progress he is making.

His speech therapist (hi Mel;) said that he is above where she thought he would be. Chase is a trooper and continues to astound all those around him. We are so blessed to be in the amazing hands of doctors, therapists, nurses and staff. We are so blessed and grateful.

Chase just fell asleep with his head at the end of the bed ... Long day. I have to wake him up for his final feeding and bath, then lights out. I love that he has a schedule & gets a solid two hours a day of quiet time (3PM-5PM). He needs it & genuinely works so hard. I'm so proud of him.

I am exhausted but I know that moving to rehab is a huge blessing. There's such a difference in even 24 hours. Like I said, week to week... So blessed. Thank you all so much for your love & support... Especially your prayers in chase's behalf.

Slow & steady,

Jen
