Mr. and Ms. Makin and Family, I was part of the flight team that flew Chase from UVRMC to PCMC and I also work for Orem City. Flying your son caused a large amount of emotions for me and the other members of the ground and flight crew. Within minutes of landing at Primary, the fire crew was calling asking for an update on his condition. We stayed at Primary Children's much longer then normal, waiting for more information before flying back to Provo. Once back in Provo, the Emergency Department wanted an update of his condition. We all feared the worse and tried to move on. But over the last two months I have thought many times about you and your family. I was overwhelmed when I saw the news story about Chase's recover and I hope he continues to recover.
If Chase ever wishes to have a tour of the helicopter, please call KD Simpson at 800-321-1911. Or if you would like to meet with the fire crew, call 801-229-7070 and ask for Chief Pace.
We saw you guys on the news again, and were excited to see how great he is doing!! How tender that the crew that helped out cares so much. That made me teary. He is a tough kid, and you are a strong family.
